Math: We worked on creating stem and leaf plot graphs to analyze data. Tomorrow we will compare the data we discovered in the book with the data from our own class. We also have begun using coordinate graphs.
Language Arts; We invited Ms. Weaver, one of our school councilors in to discuss climate at Hunt. We are currently brainstorming ways to help continue to prevent bullying from happening in our school. This of course ties in with our study of the Revealers. We also visited the Hunt Boiler Room in preparation of reading the chapter "Boiler Room".
Social Studies: We discussed "Dia de los Meurtos" as part of our cultural study of Mexico. Students learned that in Mexico it is a celebration of the dead and an opportunity to honor loved ones who have passed.
Science: More Brain Activity. We also discussed the fact that our senses are part of our Nervous System and then sampled "eyeball" treats.
